Naturopathic methods to cure high blood-pressure

High blood pressure has become a common disease today due to our lifestyle and food choices. Allopathic medicine very rarely helps in this case. That’s why visiting a naturopath in Toronto could be a much better option for you. Or these are some of the easy methods you can try at home:

Reducing salt intake: Salt is probably the biggest culprit in our diet. It causes the body to retain water, thereby raising blood pressure. Most of the processed foods we eat, like soups and sauces make a big difference.

Being more active: Not being physically active enough results in weight gain, and that in turn makes your blood pressure rise, giving rise to problems like health stroke and other diseases. One must aim to be moving for at least half an hour per day to get the required exercise to stay fit.

Decreasing sugar usage: Over usage of sugar is just as dangerous as salt, if not more. It gives rise to cholesterol levels, inflammation, and leads to weight gain, which again is fatal for blood pressure levels. Desserts, chocolate, maple syrup etc. are the biggest health risks in this regard.

Avoiding alcohol: Alcohol intake upto a certain limit is generally considered good for blood pressure, but over doing it can be dangerous, especially in the long run. Researches claim that taking in more than two drinks per day is a health risk for men, and more than one drink a risk for women.
